Wipro will join Code Nation for a skill-building and career readiness program for underserved high schoolers this summer. We are seeking passionate volunteers in the New York City area to make a lasting impact with Code Nation’s summer program! Wipro will be hosting one week of the summer program in the Brooklyn office.
If you haven’t heard, Code Nation works to bridge the tech community with students historically underrepresented in tech through various programs. This is done by equipping students in systemically under-resourced high schools with skills, experiences, and connections. These ingredients combined, create access to careers in technology.
What does it take to be a volunteer?

Enthusiasm and passion- to share with the youth of tomorrow.
Time and commitment- pick times that work best for you.
Technical skills in coding and programs like HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript needed Monday – Wednesday.
Non-technical skills for career building and discussions needed Thursday.

VOLUNTEERING SCHEDULE
Shift 1 (Mon-Th) – 9:50 AM ET – 12:20 PM ET
Shift 2 (Mon-Th) – 12:40 PM ET – 3:00 PM ET
Wipro will host the summer program the week of July 31, but you can volunteer at any point during the 6-week program, running from July 12 to August 17. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow tech industry professionals and explore NYC!
You are more than welcome to volunteer for more than one shift whether it is all in one day or throughout the week! You are also encouraged to form groups with colleagues that have similar skills and volunteer together. By becoming a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to causes close to your heart. Plus, make a tangible difference and create a lasting change in the community.
